New File Formats Allowed During Upload Allow Much More Than Just Images.

Admittedly: Uploading images took 2 clicks too long. Therefore, adding files was completely reprogrammed from scratch and now even allows new formats to be uploaded, in addition to images. The drag+drop area now appears directly when you press the upload button, or it can be completely bypassed by simply dragging the file to be uploaded directly into the editor. It is also possible to insert files from the clipboard (copy+paste). Many thanks to Melanie for the great idea!

With the new file formats, learning videos created on the computer can be uploaded directly and no longer need to be integrated as an external source via, for example, YouTube. Self-created podcasts can also be easily integrated. The maximum allowed file size has also been increased to 8 Mb.

The currently allowed file formats are:

  • Images: jpeg, jpg, png, gif, bmp
  • Documents: pdf, doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, numbers, pages, key
  • Videos: mp4, mov
  • Audio: mp3, wav, m4a
  • H5P: html
The last point is particularly interesting. Together with the free tool Lumi, interactive H5P content (such as quizzes, interactive videos, fill-in-the-blank exercises, multiple choice questions, etc.) can be created and integrated into a help with just one click!
